Atlas Features

With many great features our 2010 are our best atlases ever. Take a look at some of their great features below.

Coloured sections   How to read our maps   Mountain Bike Centres
Each section of the atlas is colour coded so it is quick and easy to find the right scale of map. We have also added a small locator map in the corner of each main mapping page.

  We have added a more intuitive way of helping you read our maps. A sample section of mapping has been included with leader lines pointing out a selection of features found on the maps.

How to read our maps
  We already show hundreds of places of interest in our GB Road Atlases. This year major Mountain Bike Trails have been added to our dataset, and included in the mapping.

From Orkney to Cornwall, the atlas includes listings of all the World Heritage Sites in Great Britain, along with contact details and a brief description for each.

The Iron Bridge was the first in the world to be constructed completely from iron and was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution in Britain. Ten museums tell the story of the Industrial Revolution and the part this area played in it. The Blists Hill Victorian Town is an open-air re-creation of a late 19th century working community. The Museum of the Gorge looks at the effects of the revolution on the beautiful gorge itself...

Energy saving trust
  The European Road Assesment Programme aims to identify dangerous rouds, and take steps to improve their safety. Their GB map is shown in this year's atlas. For more details, visit EuroRAP.
